Hedging my bets

I'm playing it safe today with a 'panino' that's because I'm having something from the chef's private menu this evening for my supper. To see what it's like, call back around 7pm to find out.

  2. Is there really a chef???? and if so, what are they doing allowing the disgusting muck that has been served up to date?

Don't blame you playing safe! I am tucking in to some strawberries at the moment! The joy of working from home! LOL! I would share if I could, honest!

  3. Hi TM!
Best wishes this time from Vienna, as it's a holiday in our country. Go to google.at to see our glorious parliamentary building complete with banner on top. The goddess Athene models as the letter "l" in google.
Have your pains diminished yet? Have a nice day!

  6. The chef's menu is for the private patients. Because I have been here for such a long time they're allowing me access to the special menu. We'll see what it's like.

  7. TH, does the PP menu look better than what you have been having? Fillet steak? Sea Bass? Salmon? Of course you won't really know until you see the results on the plate (remember the Vienna Steak fiasco).
Will check back later to find out.

  8. Are you still in lots of pain TM? Have been concerned ever since you posted about how many drugs you're currently taking due to knitting needle... :(

Looking forward to seeing special menu.

  9. The PP menu is stuff like stew and pasta dishes. No fillet steak or sea bass. Pain is controlled with oramorph so I'm hoping that will keep it under control until Nov 4. We'll see what happens then.

  10. do you think they've cottoned on to who you are?
They could be letting you have the PP menu just to prove there's no preferential treatment it's the same crap!!
I wait with baited breath to see if PP's do get food with an iota of nutritional value......

  12. I will log on after 8 to find out what the Chef came up with. Planning noodles for tonight (no, not the pot noodle variety but fresh noodles, chicken, broccoli, pepper, leek plus chillies and garlic) followed by a stint of voluntary work. Hope yours will be as tasty.

  13. you might want to be careful TM, just read an article in the guardian about the police keeping a database on "domestic extremists" to which u undoubtly belong having exposed the poor state of nutrition in hospital and all nhs food is wonderful...... NOT! keep on healing.

  14. All I can say to that is 'bring it on'. I would be proud to be labelled as a domestic troublemaker. What are the police going to do? If they punish me for speaking my mind then this is a country I don't want to live in. We have to stand up and be counted or else we don't deserve to have any freedoms.

  15. You do realise that turn 7.00pm the server will go down when 'we' all log on to see the new grub don't you :-)

what did you 'tick' or did a waiter come in dressed in evening ware to take your order?

  16. I wonder why they dont offer the private patient menu for a small supplement/top-up charge for ALL patients?

Surely it would save on food waste?
